Band of Gamers: Episode #78, for Monday, February 27th, 2017
Osiris Prime, DBQHams, myself, and our fearless leader, Greylock, got together last Monday, as we oft do, to discuss our past week in gaming. Our main discussion topic was our final thoughts in the waning days leading up to the launch of the Nintendo Switch. And of course we discussed our usual views on recent gaming news as well as our week's playlists. The video version is above and the audio version is below. Here's the index of how the show went, in case you want to focus in on a specific section. Enjoy!
0:00 - Intros, building Better Worlds, and start of the Playlists rundown: Greylock on CoD - Infinite Warfare
5:28 - Playlists continued: Zeux on Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands (PS3), Papa and Yo (PS3), and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon (PS3)
10:20 - The last days before the Nintendo Switch launch: the shifting launch game lineup
15:37 - Nintendo Switch pre-launch continued: Grey is not as down on the Switch as we thought...once it's been out for 8 months; will it really be viewable in the outdoors?
20:24 - Nintendo Switch pre-launch: So what's the deal with the eStore again? Amazon confuses us. We really don't talk about the difference between the eShop and the Virtual Console, and neither does the media
25:11 - Nintendo Switch pre-launch: Everything is shady; but is it malicious, incompetent, or just focused prioritization?
30:00 - Nintendo Switch pre-launch: the media doesn't know as much as they'd like you to think, because half of what we have questions about is turned off on the pre-launch units that they have
34:54 - Nintendo Switch pre-launch: Fingers crossed this isn't the N64 all over again with regards to games
40:18 - Tell us if you disagree; gaming news; Irrational Games changes name to Ghost Story games
45:06 - Minecraft sales numbers
50:23 - VR manufacturer sales numbers
55:34 - Outros
